Legislative Correspondent

Location: Washington, DC

The Office of Senator-elect Alsobrooks is seeking candidates to serve as Legislative Correspondents in her Washington, D.C. office. This is not an entry-level position; applicants will have at least one-year of Hill or related experience. Qualified candidates have strong writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Sorts incoming constituent correspondence in the office’s constituent relations management system.
  • Conducts research and drafts form letters to respond to general correspondence.
  • Drafts individualized responses to letters that cannot be answered with a standard reply.
  • Supports senior legislative staff with research, tracking legislation, hearing preparation, and other responsibilities as needed.
  • Meets with constituent groups about issues of interest and concern.

Location and Work Environment: The office of Senator-elect Alsobrooks is hiring for this role in Washington D.C.
