Director of Scheduling
Location: Washington, DC
Overview: The Office of Senator-elect Alsobrooks is seeking an experienced, highly organized and detail-oriented individual to serve as the Director of Scheduling in her Washington, D.C. office. This position is responsible for coordinating the Senator-elect’s schedule across a wide variety of engagements in Washington, D.C. and in Maryland.
This position is a senior-level position and previous experience scheduling for a principal and management experience is required.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Maintains the senator’s daily and long-term schedule in Washington, DC and Maryland, including scheduling appointments, meetings, events, call logs, and general demands for the senator’s time.
- Oversees the process for organizing and vetting incoming meeting requests and invitations; reviews invitations and prepares responses.
- Liaises with other senators, spouses, the White House, agency officials, foreign dignitaries, constituents, lobbyists, the public and office staff.
- Ensures that the Senator-elect is fully prepared for each meeting and event by coordinating with staff to provide relevant briefing materials and background information.
- Must exercise discretion and maintain the confidentiality of information; may be required to work extended and unscheduled hours.
- Handles the senator’s travel arrangements, including reservations and ticketing.
Location and Work Environment: The office of Senator-elect Alsobrooks is hiring for this role in Washington D.C.
